On the agenda were the election of an executive, the an- nouncement of league expansion and_ the presentation of the individual awards. Frank St. Amant, president and Terry Dahmer, secretary, who were last year's executive, were re- elected on the merit of a successful _ear. Both Terry and Frank were acclaimed to their past position. It was announced at the banquet that the league is expanding from four to six teams. Hindson Marine, Dock Lunch, Chalet Sports, and Pollard's Refridgeration will be joined by the Com- modore Hotel and Tilson Pav: New rules have been made to accomodate t' new teams. Expansion will not alter the Sunday morning play as arrangements have been made to play all games Sunday. The executive is looking for managers and coaches to help get the new teams off the ground., As usual, some _ in- dividual awards were easily selected. However, good year by many players made some choices difficult. The final choices by the acadamy are: Top Scorer' was picked up by Ken Edgar whose 20 goals and 35 assists for 55 points were 22 points ahead of his closest rival. MVP of the Year went to Ron Lalonde who ended up second in the scoring and sparked Hindson Marine all year with good effort. Marcel Valley received MVP of the Playoffs. He scored a game winner in over- time and the tying goal to send the third game into overtime. Marcel's determination and drive to win were decisive factors in his team's victory. The top goaltender was Wayne Dupuis who had a 3.20 average and 64 goals against. The race was close as he beat the runner-up by a mere six goals. The Rookie of the Year honors' were presented to Ken Cowan who performed well in the second half of the year as well as in the playoffs. Dock Lunch, who ended up two points ahead of Hindson, received the Nick Trophy emblematic of first place. Members of each team received a trophy as a reminder of their successful seasons.
