Mrs. Beatrice Ken- nedy of Toronto visited with Mr. and Mrs. George Dupuis and Mrs. McFarland for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Goldwin Faint and Kathy of Blackstock and Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Faint were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ken Robinson during the weekend. Mrs. Lulu Faint and Kathy also visited with Mrs. Susan Vancamp on Saturday. David Stewart of Sudbury and Leslie Stewart of Mississauga Obituary spent the weekend with Mr. ,and Mrs. Alvah Stewart. Mr..and Mrs. Vic Wilson of Kentville N.S. are visiting in the community for a few days and also attended the Edwards-Wilson wedding on May 4. Rodney Jones returned to Waterloo to commence another semester. Mr. and Mrs. Orval Edwards and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Brown attended the Brown- Denise wedding in Midland on Saturday. Sympathy of the community is extended to Bill Sawyer and his family on the passing of his grandfather in Cambridge on Satur- day. A bridal shower in honour of Monica Wagner was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Erich Wagner on Sunday. Approximately 25 from the area at- tended. John Cloarec The death occured on May 6, 1981, in Parry Sound, Ontario, of a Nea beienvece ay Me Penetanguishene, John Cloarec. Born and raised in Penetanguishene, he spent the last 45 years in Parry Sound, working as a guide and as a carpenter. Death oc- cured suddenly at the age of 65. Mr. Cloarec was single. His parents were the late Jean Marie Cloarec and the late Yvonne Lesaux. Surviving brothers and sisters are Charles G Lo ai rere of Penetanguishene, and Ethel (Mrs. Marcel Robitaille) of Penetanguishene, and Elsie (Mrs. Gerard Robitaille) of Lafon- taine. His sisters Melina Cloarec, Lucille McNamara and Eunice Cloarec _ predeceased him, as well as his parents. Fr. Louis Dignard officiated at the funeral service in St. Ann's Memorial Church, Penetanguishene, on May 8, 1981. Interment in St. Ann's Cemetry, Penetanguishene. Pallbearers were Denis' Robitaille, Raphael Robitaille, Charles Cloarec, Clinton Cloarec, Clifford McNamara and Lue Desroches. Monica _ is married in June. Mrs. Stan Healey and Tyler Glass visited in Toronto with Mr. and Mrs. Michael Heintz- man for the weekend. Mrs. Heintzman and Tyler visited the Wonderland in Maple on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Edwards and _ boys entertained the Dorion family on Sunday on the occasion of Mr. and Mrs. Cel Dorions 40th wedding anniversary. Rev. Maldwyn and Mrs. Minnie Roberts recently returned from the Argentina gave a very interesting talk and showed slides at the Vasey United Church on Saturday evening. Weekend guest with Mrs. Martha Edwards were Mr. and Mrs. Jack McGurn of Mississauga. Mr. Wesley Hampton of St. Catharines spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Rumney and visited with other relatives in the community. Other visitors of the Rumney's during the weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Dan Gardiner and family of Bramalea. Mrs. Ellen Whetham of Orr Lake visited with Mr. and Mrs. Orval Edwards for the weekend. Thirty-four members of the Faint family gathered at the Con- tinental Inn in Barrie on Saturday to celebrate the occasion of Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Faint's twenty-fifth wedding anniversary. They were presented with a memorable gift at that time. Mr. and Mrs. Orval Edwards, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Edwards and Mr. and Mrs. Ross McFarland attended a surprise 25th wedding party for Mr. and Mrs. Carson Brown in Warminster on Sunday. The actual date of the anniversary is May 12.
