Lots of talent out for A's squad From the look of things after Sunday's training camp for Midland Athletics Intermediate A hockey club at Wasaga Stars Arena in Wasaga Beach, the team should have a competitive season ahead of them. Altogether, 14 players showed up at the training camp with those that showed being talented hockey players. Of the 14 that showed, two were regulars from last season but a few more from last year's squad are reported to be returning. One thing that will help the Athletics will be the number of Midland Centennials and Penetanguishene Kings who are now too old to play Junior C hockey, many of those coming out Sunday to try out for the Athletics. There was a shortage of defencemen at the first camp, only one coming out and anyone who feels they can play defence well are asked to come out to the following camps. Advancing to the championship finals was KIL with a con- vincing 23-6 win over Swick Bowman and Associates, a powerful 'team which just couldn't get on track all night.
