Three juveniles have admitted their part in the break-in of most of the businesses in the Village Square Mall, and of the damage to three parked cars. However at least five other incidents occurred on the weekend that may or may not be related to the break-ins at the mall and the damage to the cars: Item. A resident living near Ecole St. Joseph scared away three persons who were attempting to break-in. Screens and windows were damaged to a total of $120. Item. On Sunday three youths were seen on the roof of the Penetang Bottling Company by an employee who was on the property. After he scared them off, it was learned that a window had been pushed open and some pop stolen. Item. A town Water and Light Commission employee who was answering an unrelated call about a power failure found bars of a window of the commission's building on Centennial Drive broken. Two tool boxes, with contents valued at $200, were missing. Item. Between 7 p.m. last Thursday and 11:30 a.m. last Friday Ecole Secondaire Penetanguishene Secondary School was entered through a broken window. Offices were ran- sacked. About $105 in coin was taken from a pop machine that was pried open. item. On Saturday a pickup truck belonging to Bernard Couriere of 76 Main Street was taken from the rear of his property and later found in Tiny Township near the Golf Link Road. Item. On Saturday the Penetanguishene pollution control plant was entered through a broken window. A lawn mower and other items were taken. said that in the late hours of Friday and the early hours of Saturday the majority of the stores in the Village Square Mall were en- tered and damage done. In one _ instance Classique Hair Stylists, an occupant of the mall, was broken into, and approximately $1,500 of electronic equipment and __sihair styling equipment stolen. About $500 damage was done. One of the confessed participants lives in Penetanguishene. The other two have a Midland address, Chief Player said. The three youths will be charged under the Juvenile Delinquent Act and taken to court, he said. More charges will likely follow as the investigation continues. The three vehicles damaged were parked on the Post Office parking lot, on Tessier Land, and on Water Street. Tires were punctured and wiring cut. Three safe after jeep overturns A careless driving charge has been laid by the Midland OPP against the driver of a jeep which overturned outside Penetanguishene last Friday afternoon. Frank Bellini, 21, of Toronto, and two passengers, were uninjured after the jeep in which they were riding rolled over in the east ditch 50 metres north of Tiny Township's Con. 13. Police said the jeep-was southbound on County Road 26 on a downhill, left curve when the driver lost control. The jeep spun around before entering the ditch. Michael Odesse First meeting of new year tonight Trustees of the Simcoe County Board of Education meet for their first meeting of the new school year tonight. The trustees will receive seven reports, among them a report of the Aug. 20 meeting of the French Language Advisory Committee. The board meeting starts at 8 p.m. in the Education Centre in Barrie. Special night Members of the Penetanguishene Hor- ticultural Society are being reminded of their next meeting to be held in the library building on Sept. 15 starting at 8 p.m. Highlight of the meeting will be a flower show featuring best in garden show. Members are also asked to bring surplus house plants and perennials for swap night. Long weekend passes without major accident No major accidents occurred during the long holiday weekend in the area covered by the Midland detachment of the Ontario Porvincial Police. Only 4 minor injuries resulted from the 21 motor vehicle accidents reported in the seven days ending yesterday morning.
