The first game saw the Blue Machine out score the Better Half 13 to 9. Outstanding plays were made by Blue Machine members Mardie Rourke who had a triple in the first inning and Penny Beck who made a good » throw to Janet Pickin for a double play in the . second inning. Dorothy Cumming caught a fly ball and put a player out on second for a double play. Dorothy also pitched a strong five and a half innings and was relieved by Shirley Charlebois who finished the game. Carole Wright of the Better Half brought in two RBI's on a two base hit at the top of the sixth in- ning. ' ' Two out of three games played in Powderpuff Strike Breakers defeated the Hornets 11 to 7, during the second game. Bev Greenwood and Alice Howell of the Strike | Breakers each caught two fly balls during the | game while their teammates Lucy Weatherall and Donna Thornton each caught one.
