It was Elmvale's first victory of the best-of- seven series. They now trail three games to one after dropping each of the first three games by 1-0 scores. Gary Turner put Elmvale on the board in the first inning by doubling in Carl Edwards. The score remained 1-0 until the sixth when Paul Archer knocked in Tim McGinnis with another double. Archer then came home when Brent. Fléming's drive was mishandled. Barrie showed signs of life in the bottom of the sixth, coming up with one run, but Elm- vale starter Edwards managed to put a lid on the threat. Edwards allowed only three hits and struck out six batters to lead Elmvale, the league's regularseason champs. Elmvale batters connected for four hits off Barrie hurler Bill Frechette.
