Dennis Brabant There will be a mens' open tournament this Sunday in Penetanguishene. Cost is $10 which covers lineage and prize money. Handicaps will be allowed up to 25. Action starts at 7 p.m., so get there early as only the first 36 bowlers will be registered. Now that most leagues have at least three to four weeks under their belts, members of the Midland-Penetanguishene 5-pin Association will begin their annual blitz for members. Three leagues have already signed up 100 per cent of their members -- those being the Sunday Sinners in Penetanguishene and the Tuesday 7-Ups and the Tuesday Niners in Midland - to give the association 150 members to date. . Booster club tickets are still selling well, with approximately 80 -tickets having been sold so far. Anyone wishing a specific number for this draw between No. 100 and No. 200 can ask for it by getting in touch with one of the association executives. The draw starts Nov. 6. ; The Midland-Penetang YBC bowlers in the junior division are in the: middle of the qualifying rounds for the Master Junior Tournament to be held Nov. 1. A boy and girl bowler will accompany each of the Master Bowlers from these bowling alleys to the regional round and, if successful, they'll advance to the Ontario finals. Bob Duquette of the Midland Industrial League rolled a 360 single on Wednesday night and Debbie Chadwick of the Tuesday Niners rolled a 310 for the ladies high score.
