With the aid of a time bomb, which later turned out to be fake, he held the jetliner for a $200,000 ransom. Then after getting turned out to be a rollicking action- comedy, a kind of a "Smokey and the Bandit" type of picture in which Burt Reynolds would find himself very much at home.
