ome Six-goal effort by Restrup just not enough Six goals from Stuart Restrup wasn't quite enough as his Little Lake BP Stars went down to a 7-6 defeat at the hands of the Lockhart Motors Nordiques in Penetanguishene Minor Hockey Association Peewee House League action Saturday at Penetanguishene Arena. In the other Novice game, the KIL Islanders edged the A. E. LePage Canadians 4-3. Lockhart marksmen were Richard Latourneau and Rob Desroches with two apiece, and Pat Conahan, Tim Dion and Matt Capps with one each. Charles Buttineau scored twice for the Islanders and _ singles were added by Wayne Desjardins and Allan Geere. Shawn Fisher, Scott Fedorowich and Richard Ronald replied for the Canadians. Centre shot Ed Cooper of the Midland Centennials is untangled from Chris Anderson of the Penetanguishene Kings during a third-period fight near centre ice Tuesday at Midland Arena. Cooper received nine minutes in penalties and a game misconduct for his efforts. The Kings won. the Georgian Bay Junior C league game 7-6. The two clubs will tangle again Sunday in Penetanguishene, beginning at 3:30 p.m. KINGS @ Cont'd from pg. 9 ficiating. "TI was quite disap- pointed in the second period," Marchildon said. '"'The calls just weren't consistent. The players didn't know from one moment to the next what a penalty was and what wasn't. - You could get away with some things and get called for a shoulder rub a minute later."' The game was, as always when the Kings and. the Centennials meet, a close-checking affair. There were a lot of shoulder rubs, as well as a lot of stickwork and some _ behind-the-play action. Some deserved penalties, others clearly did not. One thing remained clear, however: the Kings' Car] Cowan, all by himself in the league's scoring lead, didn't get rubbed a whole lot as he cruised for two goals and two assists. Other Penetanguis- hene marksmen were Brian Norwood, with g two, Phil Cinqg-Mars, Chris Anderson and, with the winner, Doug Kirton. Midland goals came from Paul Hahn, Al Pumputis, Frank Dance, Mike Leo, Noel McEachern and Brad Copeland. Brad Bumstead faced 39 shots in the Cen- tennials net; Kevin Steel faced 24 at the other end. The two clubs will get together again Sunday in Penetanguishene. Game time is 3:30 p.m. The game has been designated Family Day at the arena, with students or children accompanied by one or both parents charged a $3 package admission. : a hreen e SD SE SES SSE SS SS SS Ny, season is filled with joy!
