Port McNicoll by Eileen Hocken The New Year's Eve dance at the Community Centre which was sponsored by the Lions Club was a huge success. 160 attended the dance. ' Paper hats, whistles and horns were very much in use throughout the evening. Everyone seemed to really enjoy them- selves. The band was very good. Gayle Achroyd on lead guitar, Pacy Shulman on bass and Lorne Pinkney on drums, kept everyone hopping. : There were two spot dances and these were won by Darlene and Rick Kelly and Joyce Lepage and Marty Slobodian. The Lions prepared and set out an ex- cellent lunch at the end of the evening. Everyone went home in very good spirits, the New Year brought in with much merriment. The DANCEFIT program is now being offered in Port MeNicoll, with Vickie Duncan 5as instructor. About 16 women participated in the Monday morning class at the Community Centre. DANCEFIT will be taking place on Monday and Wednesday mornings and Tuesd55ay and Thursday evenings. As there are about 25 enrolled in the evening classes, Vickie is quite pleased that the community hall is available -for the DANCEF'IT sessions. There is to be a social evening for the parents and girls of Port McNicoll Brownies, Girl Guides and Pathfinders tonight, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. This will take place at the Community Centre. Refreshments will be served.
