As a matter of fact, a trophy -- the Hebner's Taxi Award -- is presented to the team with the fewest penalty minutes over the course of the season. Though it may be a little too late for the North Stars to have a hope for that particular award, they proved last Monday at Midland Arena that they can ease up when they want to. The North Stars were tagged for nary a single minor as they drew to a 7-7 tie with Duggans Polar Kings. For the North Stars, who lead the league in penalty- minutes with 213 in 15 games -- it was quite a feat indeed. In other MRHL games Monday, league-leading Olympia Sports kept their distance from the pack with a 5-3 win over Hebner's Taxi and Performance Motor Sports edged _ the Roadrunners 5-4. The Roadrunners, who are idling in last place, are currently leading the Hebner's Award chase with 100 minutes on the season. Hebner's is second with 108 minutes. John Edwards scored the tying goal for the North Stars -- his second of the game -- with only 14 seconds remaining in the matchup. They couldn't make it back to Bracebridge for the final, however, and Oshawa was awarded the consolation trophy by default. Donald Seeman led the Midland scoring in the second game with two goals. Singles were added by Bruce Mar- sden, Mark Gieseler, Bill Russell, Kevin Beausoleil, Joe DeCola, Bill Morgan and Steve Zeitel. Russell also collected three assists. Gary Watson posted the shutout.
