By-law No. 82-10 has the following purpose and effect: The Midland Planning Board in conjunction with the Industrial Commissioner have been reviewing the parking requirements for manufacturing and industrial uses as required in By-law 79-40. After careful review, an assessment of the parking requirements for manufacturing and industrial uses of other municipalities, it has been concluded that the Parking requirement of one parking space for every 35m2 (376 square feet) of gross floor area as contained in By-law 79-40 is too onerous. By-law 82-10 proposes to decrease the parking requirements for manufacturing and instrial uses from 1 space per 35m2 (376 square feet) of gross floor area to 1 parking space per 46m2 (500 square feet) of gross floor area. This proposed parking regulation will affect the parking requirements for the following Industrial Zones: Industrial Restricted Zone - IR, Industrial Light Zone-IL, Industrial General Zone-IG, Industrial Waterfront Zone-IW. The above is a brief explanation of the purpose and effect of By-law 82-10.
