to George St. home Midland fire depart- ment officials will at- tempt to pin-point today the cause of a major fire that ripped through a two-storey frame home at 204 George St., yesterday shortly after 12 p.m. Fire Chief Terry Lethbridge noted following the inferno that damage "will be considerable." Four fire hoses were played on the burning structure before' firefighters managed to bring the three-hour inferno under control. Thick black smoke from yesterday's house fire towered over the building and could be seen for several blocks.
