Blowing snow and wind chill are not problems that Elmvale District High School teachers Alan Margison and Richard Austin have to endure this latter half of the winter of 1981-82. The two Elmvale high school teachers flew with their families to Australia to take up teaching there for the rest of the year. In their place at EDHS are two Australian teachers. Don McInnes, from southern Australia, brought his wife and two children to Elmvale. The two children attend Huronia ' Centennial Elementary School. McInnes' school in Australia, unlike EDHS, Lloyd Knight well known tenor soloist, will be in Midland, this Sunday, he will be singing at the Alliance Church in the 11:00 a.m. Service. Then Sunday evening, 7 p.m., he will present a Sacred Concert. At present Lloyd is with Round Table in Toronto. This is a Television Agency that produces and markets. T.V. Programs. Originally from Midland and Penetanguishene, Lloyd has been the soloist and song leader for the television program of People's Church, Toronto. Sports are very popular at McInnes' school. The boys like to play football and the girls like to play netball. Netball is similar to basketball, but there is no dribbling. In the summer, the boys play cricket and the girls play tennis. Coming to Elmvale has been an experience for McInnes. In Australia now it is summer. Summer temperatures range from 35C to 40C. Winter is also different here than in. Australia, McInnes has_ found Australia's winter passes without snow. Winter temperature - there ranges from 7C to 8C with occasional frost.
