Other top Midland finishers were Matthew Leitch (19th), Mina Tesseris (20th) and Cam Wraith (23rd). The MSS Girls' team scored an eighth-place finish among 15 com- peting schools. In a field of 68 racers, Stephanie King scored a 22nd for Midland, Heather King was 36th and Stacey Leitch was 39th. Midland finished sixth in the combined overall standings. Soundy was assisted by Spring in three third- period goals -- all while shorthanded, all scored within a 36-second span - - which made the dif- ference for John's. Other John's goals were scored by Fred Melnyk and John Epplett. Police goals came from Jason Egan, Kevin Sauve and Mike Ballard.
