The Midland Secondary School Senior Girls' basketball team will try to play the role of streak-stopping spoilers when they meet two-time Ontario Federation of School Athletic Association defending champion Sudbury Secondary Schoo] in an exhibition matchup tomorrow at MSS. The Sudbury squad, currently riding a 70- game unbeaten streak, are looking for some competition en route to an upcoming Eastern Canadian tournament in Guelph. Lately, they've been playing boys' teams in the Sudbury area, and have been looking for a solid test against a girls' team before the tournament. They chose Midland, the team which allowed them the fewest points when they met in the quarter-finals of this year's OFSAA cham- pionship. The 21-year-old rookie Athletics goaltender will be heading for Cornwallis, Nova Scotia, Friday to begin a career in the Canadian Armed Forces. Goodine, who says he started looking into an army career in Grade 12 at Midland Secondary School, will study safety systems with the air force. "T've done a lot of thinking about it," Goodine said last week. "T must have changed my mind about three times since I first contacted the recruitment people." But, says Goodine, he's made a decision now and he'Il stick with it.
