Second, Tay Council past and present for their many hours of meetings and deter- mination and decision making. Third, P.U.C. com- missioners past and present for their many hours of work on your behalf and for ad- ministering and operating of the system for the township now that it is complete. Fourth, our engineers and contractors who worked hard and ex- peditiously to give us a quality job with the least inconvenience. Our township office staff - particularly our clerk Brian Hopkins and our treasurer Gladys Smith, without whose hundreds of hours of hard work, dedicated hard work, this project could not have been successful. And to everyone who has been _ involved, THANK-YOU. We also should recognize as part of this project that with the assistance of the MTC Tay Township has rebuilt the streets of Waubaushene and paved 9.6 kilometres. The total cost of this part of our project, done over two years, is $537,543. This amount, if compared to the total roads budget of 1981 represents 78 per cent. Tay Township stopped any major road work in Waubaushene in 1977 until after the pipes were in. The pipes were in by summer 1981 and, as promised, the streets are fixed, not in three years as_ originally thought, but in one year. I would now like on behalf of Tay Township, its council and ratepayers, to pay public tribute to a man who has dedicated his time and energy over nine years for the good of all Tay residents. He now stands in the |! background having laid hold of sibilities, executed them with fervor, and now retired to let others carry on. His dedication and leadership have contributed beyond our ability to repay him with thanks - greatly to this project and many others.
