(Photo by Andy Wicksted) A suggested plan for' the development of the north end of Penetanguishene, the area bounded by Fuller Avenue, Cambridge Street, Church Street, and the Mental Health Centre, was explained to the public Monday evening at a meeting of the Penetanguishene Planning Board. Planning board secretary Paul Hodgins said yesterday, the board's proposed plan for development was 'reasonably well received" and that the board will be reviewing the questions and comments put to it last Monday evening. Development of the area cannot begin until the town's sewage system is extended into the area, and so the creation of serious proposals for individual properties is some time in the future. The creation of a development plan for the area is part of the planning board's policy of long range planning. Since the creation of the policy, potential developers of property in that area will have an idea of the town's idea of how the area should be developed, and they can plan accordingly, Hodgins said.
