Rev. Francis Cook of- ficiated. They were attended by Donna Jones sister of the bride and Paul Brown the groom's brother. A reception followed at Freda's. Dennis and Mary Ellen reside at 70 Kippendavie Ave., Toronto. They are currently on an extended trip to British Columbia, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Denver Colorado. --Photo by Odesse Midland Fall Fair one of the oldest in Ontario The Tiny-Tay Agricultural Society will be presenting its 1982 edition of the Midland and District Fall Fair at the Midland Fair Grounds from Sept. 16 to 19. Being one of the oldest fairs in the province, if not the country, the exhibition will feature something for everyone. As in last year's presentation, this year will feature a Sunday Fair. A Horse-Pull for light horses and Midway rides will be included in Sunday's program. Proceedings will get underway on Friday af- ternoon with the school parade at 1 p.m. The Miss Midland Fair competitions will be held in the arena at 8 p.m. Another new event on the fair program this year will be a goal show on Saturday at 1 p.m. Included in Sunday's events along with the horse-pull and midway will be a Western Saddle Horse and Gymkana show at 12 noon. An invitation is extended to everyone by this year's president Everett Marshal to come to the fair and enjoy the events. Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ross Faint were Mr. and Mrs. Bob Faint, Nancy and Darren of Port Dover. Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Edwards accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Neil Edwards of Wasaga Beach to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Allan Edwards of Port Elgin. Our young people have returned to the halls of learning and Anne Jacklin is beginning a course in nursing at Seneca College, Ian Jones is entering Georgian College to take a course in Electronics and Joe Rumney is returning to Guelph University to continue in vetrinary, Trish Waples is taking a course in computors at Georgian and Glen Wilcox is attending college in London, Ont. Mrs. Ruby Pedwell and June of Tobermory visited on Sunday with Mrs. Gladys McLary. During the Sunday morning service at Vasey United David Edward, son of Mr. and Mrs. Car] Hubbard was baptized and welcomed into the church family. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Ashworth, Duncan, Nelson and Melodie were weekend visitors with Mr. and Mrs> Ted Vasey, Mrs. Ashworth and the triplets remained for the week. Saturday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Rumney were Mr. and Mrs. Jack Rumney of Richmond Hill and Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Faint of Scarborough visited with the Rumneys. Mr. and Mrs. Brad Jones of Almonte were weekend visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Brian Jones and family. Mr. and Mrs. Peter Dunn and family of Toronto spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Roy Edwards. James Dunn returned home after spending the summer with his grandparents. Mrs. Martha Edwards entertained her family to a dinner at the Vasey A rose by any other name The Elmvale Community Hall on Aug. 25 was the setting for a garden of flowers, when the Horticultural Society held their fourth Flower Show. Under the theme of Nature's Beauty, 32 exhibitors displayed 295 samples of their spring and summer's work. Much improvement in the individual exhibits and in the artistic designs, made this show the best to be held to date. Top prizes of the Show - for Horticultural exhibits went to Barrie Navarro for his Double Rose Impatiens plant - and to Mrs. Grace Mar- cellus for her Artistic Design to illustrate 'Sum- mer Follies'. Mr. Kevin Healey showed films from the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, at various times during the day and evening. --Adelaide Lougheed Secretary Reporting Anniversary Services Wyevale United Church i friends is gvale United Stan, born an been in Tokyo r the pst 25 yrs. and teaches English and Cifistian Missions in Tokyo Bible Seminary. His Wife, Joanna, is also very busily engaged in the activities of the Church, teaching English cooking classes to the local Ministries. Musical offerings will also be presented by Mr. David Julian and his wife Lynelle from Toronto. He. is a writer, composer and choral director and both he and his wife share in the joy of music. Sunday services will be held at 11:00-a.m. and 7:30 p.m. followed by a social hour. A most cordial invitation is extended to all to join in these Anniversary Celebrations. Church on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Jack McGurn of Mississauga, and Mr. and Mrs. John Wylie of Stouffville and the 15th anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Edwards. Also a family shower was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Edwards in honour of their niece Miss Sandra Wylie who will be married in December. Mr. and Mrs. John Parker of Nova Scotia visited during the past two weeks with Mr. and Mrs. Charles Stone. Sunday Mrs. Stone visited with relatives in Brantford, Burlington and Toronto. Visitors during the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. were Mrs. Margaret Doekes of Burlington and Mrs. Elmer Brown and Steven of Dalston. Recent visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Clare McKeown were Mr. and Mrs. Allan McKeown of St. Catharines, Mr. and Fred Edwards. Mrs. Tom Taylor of Peterboro and Robbie McKeown 'Out. Bracebridge. Mr. and Mrs. Orval Edwards and Greg and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Gratrix, Jennifer and Brian visited on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Edwards of Owen Sound. Mrs. Walter: Bannon accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Allan Thompson, Daniel, Edward, and Michael of Barrie to the National Young Peoples Orchestra concert where Mrs. Bannon's granddaughter, Cat- herine Lepard took part as a violinist with the group. Last week June Bannon and Catherine Lepard spent a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Walter Bannon before Catherine moved to Calgary. Adam and Joel Robinson of Mississauga spent some holidays with their grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Ken Robinson last week, and Dr. and Mrs. Allan Robinson visited on Sunday.
