The winner... by Mrs. M. Gervais Victoria Harbour and District Lion's Club hold a 50-50 draw each month with proceeds going to the Medical Centre Fund. The winner of the October draw was Mr. James Finley of Midland. Mrs. Hilda Savage is arranging a_ shopping bus trip to Bramalea on November 18th. If in- terested call Mrs. Savage at 534-3137. Mrs. Wm. Jarman was in Toronto on Sunday to visit her husband who is a patient in Toronto General Hospital after having surgery. Mrs. Ed. Pypher is a patient in St. Michael's Hospital, Toronto having undergone surgery. At the Coffee Break held Wednesday morning at the Com- munity Centre, Miss Catherine MacKenzie was the speaker. Miss Catherine is a member of the Victoria Harbour LACAC Committee and spoke of the work the committee had done regarding properties in the village. She spoke of the first property sold in the - village and other facts which had been gathered by the students employed with a government grant to make a survey both by calling on people and by studying facts at the County Archives _building in Barrie. * She also showed slides of different older houses in the village and brought out facts regarding architecture and trimmings. Today Miss_ Lois Pervy of the County Health Unit will speak on Communication in Marriage and Family Relationships and Taking Time to Feel. On Nov. 17 the subject will be Midland and District Singles. Everyone is welcome to attend. Victoria Harbour and District Lions Club held their annual Charter Night at the Sportsman Inn recently. The monthly meeting of the Georgian Club Senor Citizens was held on Nov. 4 and was opened by President Mr. Frank Murpy. General reports were given - Minutes by Mrs. Doris Savage; treasurer's report Mrs. Evelyn Gillan. Mrs. Grace Anderson read the correspon- dence; It was an- nounced the Simcoe County Museum will close for the winter months but there would be a Christmas Pageant held on Dec. 12. All members were invited to attend. Mrs. Anderson spoke on a trip -- 4 days -- when they would be taken to see the Christmas lights at Simcoe. There was an invitation to attend a Euchre at Port McNicoll Senior Citizens today at 1 p.m. On Nov. 22 pictures of Quaga Lake would be shown at the Civic Centre Midland. Discussion was held re the Christmas Party which will be held in the Recreation room of the Legion on Thursday December 9th with Christmas dinner at 1 p.m. There will be a gift exchange in the af- ternoon following the dinner. Following ad- journment euchre was played. Prizes for high scores were won by Mrs. Ogzena Cadeau and Mr. A Savage; for most lone hands Mrs. Helen Gatehouse and Mr. Nels Anderson and Mr. Mel Lavigne won the 50-50 draw. Lunch was then enjoyed.
