.--- Kings split pair of games with .-... ----- Stayner: both win on the road --- Penetanguishene Kings gained some measure of revenge Monday night in Stayner, as they downed the home town Siskins 3-2, after dropping a one-sided 8-2 decision last Friday in Penetanguishene to the same team. Monday's close encounter was a penalty-filled affair with Kings on the receiving end of many dubious ~~ decisions by the officials. Kings spent almost half the game playing shorthanded, but managed to hold on to steal the win from their hosts. Goals for Kings were scored by Carl Cowan, John Monague, and Greg St.Amant, with St.Amant getting the winner with about eight minutes left. rn Last Friday saw the Kings hold a 2-1 lead after the opening frame, behind a 28 shot barrage on Siskin netminder Joe Ralph. Dave Robillard and newcomer Dale Denis scored the goals. After the first period it was all downhill. Stayner netted seven unanswered goals to win easily. Their domination is reflected in the final shots on net statistics, as they ended up on top of a 48-47 count. The split with Stayner leaves the Kings in third place in the southern division of the Georgian Bay Junior C League. They can take another step towards the top this Friday, as they host first-place Essa at Penetanguishene Arena at 8:30 p.m. Ron Johnson ae mm Ys! sé B Ld ' Juvenilestrim : Meaford 9-4 Midland Juveniles posted an easy 9-4 triumph over' the visiting Meaford juveniles at Centennial Arena on Tuesday night.
