On Saturday, Jan. 19, William Homewood of Elmvale escaped injury when his car fishtailed in a slushy patch, went into a ditch and flipped over. Damage to the vehicle is estimated at $1,500. Marc Neim of Willowdale lost control of his vehicle Sunday morning when it hit an icy patch on Pine Ridge Trail, just north of Simcoe Road 22.
