tant Lip AM a Ld tA a Pitchin' in These grade seven students at Sacred Heart School in Midland were part of the 180 or so students who '"'pitched in" to help clean up their little part of the world. These four, (L to R) Kathy Veaudry, David Merkley, Kevin Sovey, and Keverne Bowen, are program with the Mi members of Mr. who did their part in the "Pitch In '83" run by Hunters and Anglers in association ii elllldtibe, Augemeri's class Georgian Bay nistries of Environment and Education. --Curtain going up on another Players' production Love, Sex and the IRS to be stage by Mary Haskill Love, Sex and the IRS by Wm. Van Zandt and Jane Milmore will be staged May 6, 7, 13, and 14 at Midland Secondary School Auditorium. It is the last of Huronia Players' three-play 1982-83 season. Love, Sex And The IRS is a_ timely presentation indeed. The trauma of Income Tax Returns is still very much with us. Who among us is too upright not to consider listing the dog or cat as dependants, or some such other nefarious scheme, to foil the taxman and save a few dollars? Well--in Love, Sex And The IRS, John Trachman, played by David Allen, dreams up a dandy way to cut his taxes. In case you don't know the IRS is short for Internal Revenue Service and it does to our American cousins what Revenue Canada does to us. Trouble is, Trachman's little plan backfires and Floyd Spinner, (Raymond Knight) the man from IRS, drops in to ask a few questions. Some fast thinking, and even faster foot- work, is called for. The talented cast of Love, Sex And The IRS is equal to the occasion under the direction of May Williams. Com- plications to the plot--and it is a tricky plot!-- are compounded with the help of Trachman's room mate (Barry Daley,) his landlord (Frank Holm,) his mother (Emily Lloyd,) and two charming young ladies (Cindy Vaillancourt and Mary Ellen Kee). John Scott plays a cameo role as Arnold dat MSS Grunion and I won't tell you what he's there for! Fans of Emily Lloyd will enjoy seeing her back on the Players' stage. Knight, Scott, Holm and Allen: are all favorites with local theatre goers. Cindy Vaillancourt will be remembered as the impudent maid in Imaginary Invalid ldst fall. Mary Ellen Kee'is making her debut on stage although she has been active behind the scenes all year. At the mid-winter play, EVE, the Players asked the audience what they wanted in future plays. One person suggested "more of Barry Daley" anda majority asked for more comedy. Huronia Players are happy to oblige. Love, Sex and the IRS has plenty of both. Don't let the title Love, Sex And The IRS give you the wrong impression. There's no need for the Ontario Censors Board to get excited. Sex refers to gender only. lg more. Sorry about that. Will you learn a new wrinkle to save on next year's Income Tax? Come along and see. Summer gym camp Penetang-Midland Hurons » Gymnastics club is sponsoring a summer gymnastics camp.
