As I have never been there a member phoned to say it was very interesting. She enjoyed it thoroughly. It was total entertainment for days from Monday to Friday. Some of them would like to go again. This week being Senior week and the slogan "We all have a lot to share" goes on with us the year around. It has been recognized by the larger centers with a steady itinerary which I listed last week. Simeoe County Recreation Department and The Senoirs Advisory Committee are sponsoring the 15th annual picnic at Midhurst Park on Wednesday July 27, 10 a.m, to 4 p.m. Please bring your own lawn chairs, cushions- and lunch. Jim Lynn Funeral Director A HELPFUL GROUP FOR WIDOWS AND WIDOWERS WITH CHILDREN Widows and widowers with children encounter new problems. Many difficulties have been overcome already by other widowed parents through a group called Parents Without Partners. Parents Without Partners is concerned with the interests and welfare of single parents and their children. The group operates 13 chapters across Canada with more than 1,600 members. Depen- ding on the size of the group, they meet either weekly or monthly. The recovery process for the widowed parent starts with orientation sessions which help them adjust to thier new situation. As recovery proceeds, the parent attends seminars on how to involved in an active social program of sports, dances and dinners. This group should be considered by all widows and : 'widowers with children as they get ready to re--:} enter social life.
