Ralph McCall Nicholls Funeral Home was where on Sept. 21, 1984, a funeral service for the late Johnson Street, Midland resident Ralph McCall was held. He died in his home on Sept. 18, at age 86. The son of Jack and Nellie McCall was born in Orillia Township. He Viola Press The late Viola Pearl Press died Sept. 14, 1984, in Beechwood Private Hospital, Penetangu- ishene, following a lengthy illness, at the age of 73 years. Miss Press was born and lived all of her life in Penetanguishene. She lived on Yeo Street Lane, Penetanguishene, before going to Beech- wood Private Hospital several years ago. Miss Press was the last surviving member of the Press family of her generation. Her funeral mass was Ee OO OGre A seminar on Inter- pretation of 12-Lead ECG will be offered by Georgian College this fall in both Owen Sound and Barrie. The seminar is designed for Registered Nurses and Registered Nursing Assistants working in intensive care coronary care units or emergency departments. It will be offered Wednesday, October 3.at the Con- tinental Inn in Barrie and Wednesday, November 14 at the Holiday Inn in Owen Sound. Both sessions run from 9 a.m. to4 p.m. and cost $35. This one-day seminar will give a brief over- view of anatomy and physiology related to the heart, an_ in- troduction to ECG and an interpretation of 12- Lead ECG. Beatrice The daughter of the late Ray Purdy, and Hazel Purdy, was born in Iroguois Falls, Ont. Her husband was the late Harry Purdy. She had been retired for 10 years. Surviving her are her sons Richard of Australia and Ronald of Calgary, her mother Hazel Purdy of Iroquois Falls, and her brothers was a long time poultry fancier. Mr. McCall married the late Margaret Millikin in Renfrew, Ont., on Oct. 27, 1920. A drug store clerk, he retired 15 years ago. The life member of Victoria Lodge No. 470 AF and AM, Victoria Harbour, held a 32nd held in Beausoleil Funeral Home, Penetanguishene, Sept. 17. Officiating clergy was Rev. Francis Cook of St. Paul's United Chureh, Midland. Interment in First Presbyterian Cemetery, Penetanguishene. Surviving members of her family are her niece Joan Lediard of Penetanguishene, her nephews Gordon A. Praia Cy ss ont Penetanguishene and Wallace Press of St. Catharines. She was pre-deceased by her brothers Charles, Ivan, George, Percy, Arthur & Bill Press and by her parents William A. Press & Sarah Burst. degree of the Scottish rite. He was also a member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 80, Midland. He served overseas with CEF No. 116 Battalion during the First World War. : His son David of Trenton, Ont., his daughters Jean (Mrs. Cecil Walters) of Toronto and Helen (Mrs. Ross Kennedy) of Nobleton, and_ his brother Harold of Waubaushene = survive him. Ralph McCall had 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Rev. Francis Cook of St. Paul's United Church, Midland, of- ficiated at the funeral service. Internment in Lakeview Cemetery, Midland. A Masonic service was held in the funeral home the evening before the funeral, under the auspices of Victoria Lodge, Victoria Har- bour.
