Robert (Bob) Yates The late Robert (Bob) Yates of Ontario Street, Midland, died suddenly in Penetanguishene on March 11, 1985, at the age of 34 years. Mr. Yates was born in, and lived most of his life in Penetanguishene. He was employed as a registered nursing assistant in the regional building of the Mental Health Centre at the time of his death. His funeral mass was held in St. Ann's Memorial Church, Penetanguishene, on March 14, with Rev. L. Dignard officiating. Spring interment will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Penetanguishene. Paul and Kevin Hamelin, Darryl Yates, Bill Smith, John Steele and Tom Lizotte were his pallbearers. His son Daniel, at home, mother Claircy Yea sesS Ont Penetanguishene, ~-- br- others Ron and John of Penetanguishene,. and sisters Anita Hamelin of Lafontaine, and Jeanne Smith of Midland, survive him. His father was the late Horace Yates. Emily Duquette The late Emily Duquette died in Collingwood Nursing Home on March 12, 1985, following a_ lengthy illness, at the age of 84 years. Mrs. Duquette lived most of her life in Penetanguishene and had been living in the nursing home in Collingwood for the last 15 years. Mr. Steer was 75 years of age. His illness was lengthy. The Yonge Street, Midland resident was the owner of Steer's service station and cabins on Yonge Street. He retired seven years ago. Two grandchildren survive him. His wife Euphemia Johnston Frame, father Norman Steer, mother Bertha Jane McConnell, and sister Bessie -- Jean predecased him. She was born in Pyhtaa, Finland, the daughter of Pekka and Maija Languik. In 1928 in Kirkland Lake she married Sam Vuoriinaki, and thereafter lived in Kirkland Lake, Toronto, and Midland. Interment! in Kirkland Lake. She had been retired for 30 years. Her son Elmer of Midland, and brothers Ever! and Alex and sister Signe Helminen, all of Finland, survive her.
