A job welldone ~-- MIDLAND YMCA'S 1986 Operating Campaign, presently underway in North Simcoe, is $3,700 richer thanks to last Saturday afternoons very successful, fun-filled YMCA 100 Fun Car Rally. In all, a total of 36 cars and trucks (each with a driver and a navigator) took part in the 82.15 kilometre, 90-minute rally which began and ended at Midland town dock at the Windrifter. Forces behind the road rally were Bryson McQuirter Jr., YMCA campaign special events chairman and John L. Saunders, rally organizer. One can only hope this type of fund-raiser will become an annual event inasmuch as '"'fun" was put back into fund-raising. For those who didn't take part if the gala road rally let it be known you missed a super afternoon. As for organizers they certainly win a tip of the hat for a mighty fine job well done. It was grrreat! Bursting at the seams Driver Jurgen Pape (right), from Midland Skilja Design, and his navigator Brian Hamelin (left), were full of enthusiasm on the starting line of Saturday's YMCA 100 Fun Car Rally, at Midland Town Dock.. Although this team's finish was somewhat less dramatic then their start, everybody had a good time, and $3,700 was raised for the Y's current operating fund campaign. ¥ ic OUNCILL OR-TAY TOWNSHIP eBorn and raised in Midland eResident of Tay for 10 years eSecond term Tay Township Councillor eChairman of Protection to rel : Persons and Property Committee agi eMember of Recreation Com- mittee eMember of Planning Advisory Committee Member of Joint Tay-Tiny Committee You can tell they had a ball 2 at YMCA 100 Fun Car Rally Winners of the first-ever Midland YMCA McdQuirter, Jr., and rally organizer John Bryson McQuirter, Lorraine Buda and 100 Fun Car Rally, staged last Saturday L.
