Almost every week the 'copter lands at either HDH or PGH to take patients to Metro hospitals. The helicopter ambulance is worth its weight in gold when it comes to quickly transporting patients who require the attention that only a major health facility can offer. Long may it fly. We have often expressed our concerns editorially. However this winter, as well as last, there's been a real effort to keep the town's 350 or so hydrants snow-free. A verbal bouquet to Midland PUC and its outside workers is in order for a job well done. One can appreciate the effort that has gone into keeping these hydrants snow-free and the effort should not go unnoticed. Well done Cents MIDLAND STONELEIGH CENTENNIALS hockey club has wrapped up a super season. The Junior "C"' hockey club was eliminated from further play last week by Bradford Blues. Cents ended up first in the Georgian Bay Jr. "©" League and also took the championship round before coming up against a stubbord Bradford crew. Cents can be proud of this past season. The hockey club packed 'em in at Centennial Arena while crowds of followers took to the roads to watch their club play out of town. Players and management alike can be proud of Stoneleigh Centennials performance this season. The club treated hockey fans to some of the best shinny we have seen in years.
