Mrs. Johnston was born and raised in Penetanguishene and lived all of her adult life in Toron- to. She was a employee of the provincial government for 49 years, with the Office of the Registrar General, where birth, death and mar- riage records are kept. Her funeral mass was held in St. Ann's Memorial Church, Penetanguishene, on April 18, with Rev. R. Jacobsen as the celebrant. Interment will be later this spring in St. Ann's Cemetery, Penetanguishene. Her brothers, Marcel & Athol Dion of Toronto, Ulric Dion of Penetanguishene, Basil Dion of Port McNicoll, and sisters, Beatrice Cadieux of Midland, Alber- tine Dion of Penetanguishene, Alida (Mrs. Matt Walker) & Alpha (Mrs. Maurice Brennan) of Toronto survive her. Her husband Victor Johnston and her brothers Ludger (Ted) & Albert predeceased her.
