Ligourie Robillard The late Ligourie Robillard of Brock Street, Penetanguishene, died peacefully at his home on July 3, 1986, at the age of 96 years. & Mr. Robillard was born at Lafontaine and lived there for many years, on the farm he operated as a younger man. He then moved to Pene- tanguishene, where he resided for many years. His funeral mass was held in St. Ann's Memorial Church, Penetanguishene, on July 5, with Rev. L. Dignard as the celebrant. He was assisted by Rev. R. Andrews, Rev. D. Picone and Rev. T. Marchildon. Interment was in St. Ann's Cemetery, Pene- tanguishene. Stephen and Robert Shiels, Peter Restoule, Michael Beausoleil, Maurice and Andre Brunelle, all grandsons, Anita Hewlett The late Anita Hewlett of Peek-a-boo Trail, Tiny Township, died in Huronia District Hospital on June 28, 1986, following a lengthy illness, at the age of 51 years. Mrs. Hewlett was born at Elmvale and grew up in Penetanguishene. She had lived many years in Toron- to before returning to this area and living at Peek-a- boo Trail for the last 11 years. Before her illness, Mrs. Hewlett was an active volunteer at both the Men- tal Health Centre of Penetanguishene and the Family Life Centre of Midland. Her funeral mass was held in the Martin Funeral Home, Penetanguishene, on July 1, with Rev. L. Dignard officiating. The service was followed by cremation, with interment of the cremated remains in St. Ann's Cemetery, Penetanguishene. Her husband Sid Hewlett of Peek-a-boo Trail, Tiny Marion Axten The late Marion Axten of Poyntz Street, Penetanguishene, died suddenly in Penetanguishene General Hospital on July 9, 1986 at the age of 81 years. Mrs. Axten was born in and spent the early part of her life in Toronto. She had been a_ resident of Penetanguishene for the Page 16, Tuesday, J last 44 years. Mrs. Axten had been a member of the United Church of Penetanguishene until the church closed. She then joined St. Paul's United Church of Midland and also served with the United Church Women. Her funeral service was held in Martin Funeral Home, Penetanguishene, on July 11, with Rev. A. uly 22, 1986 -- William Manson Nicholls Funeral Home was the scene of the funeral of the late William John Manson, of Fifth Street, Midland, on June 23, 1986. Mr. Manson, age 84, died in Georgian Manor, Penetanguishene, after more than five years' illness. ; William Manson, the son of John A. Manson and Isabella Douglas, was born in Huron County, in Zurich. He was a cost ac- countant in London and Toronto and worked for 15 years for the Gidley Boat Company, and 35 years as office manager of the Copeland Milling Com- pany of Elmvale. He retired approximately 16 years ago. He was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church, Midland. He was a Past Master of the Masonic Lodge, Penetanguishene. Wives Mae Whalen of Penetang and Isabella Robertson of Toronto, and son Bruce, predeceased him. Stepdaughters June (Mrs. Charles Walton) of Midland and Alice (Mrs. Adele Bush The late Adele Bush of Honey Harbour died June 29, 1986, General Hospital, follow- ing a lengthy illness, at the age of 73 years. in Toronto Mrs. Bush was born at Penetanguishene and lived most of her life in the Honey Harbour area. Her funeral service was held in St. James-on-the- lines Anglican Church, Penetanguishene, on July 2, with Rev. Joan Waters officiating. Interment in St. James-on-the-lines _ Cemetery, tanguishene. At last Monday night's session of Town council, Penetang officials gave their seal of approval to in- creasing the salary of the janitor by the seven per- cent rather then giving a lump sum increase as done in other years.
