Visitors and new members always welcome. Annual event rooted in history On Georgian Bay, it's Tecumseth Trophy time again. The annual running of the 12 nautical mile sail- ing event takes place Satur- day, July 26 at the Historic Naval and Military Establishments, Penetanguishene, as part of the annual Liberty Days weekend at the historic site. The race is open to keel and centreboard craft. Competing skippers and their crews are admitted free to Liberty Days celebrations on Saturday. Winners in all three divi- sions take home handsome trophies as well as perma- nent mementoes. New this year are engraved plaques for winners in each of three divisions, donated by Labatt's, makers of Schooner Beer. Labatt's is a corporate supporter of the Sailor's Sunset Sail Training program at the Establishments. There is no entry fee for the Tecumseth, but pre- registration is essential.
