Sponsored by a number of local boat and yacht sales outlets, the event is expected to attract boaters from as far as Toronto. Director of the event John Brown, of Lakeland Yacht Sales, says the event is sponsored to "promote the local area', both on land and off. Ninety per cent of the ex- hibitors at the show will be local, says Brown, adding that only seven will come from out of Town. He promises that everything from sail boats and runabouts to fishing boats and canoes will be on display and there will be something at the two-day Close friends Whether some people like it on the popular ride, the Scrambler, brings people close. The Power and Sail Squadron will be offering tips on safe boating practices as well as recruiting for new members. The main meeting spot at the Town Docks, the Midland Boatworks, also one of the sponsors of the event, will follow the spirit of the event by offering entertainment during and after the show.
