4 Sports Scene Finals Sunday Weeklong tourney wrapped up Saturday morning at the Centennial Arena, Midland Times dropped Midland Police 6-2 in the Midland Minor Hockey Association's Eighth Annual House League Tournament Peewee Divison for the Consolation title. Times scored once in the first and twice in the third, while edging Police 3-2 in the mid- dle frame. Spencer Warren checked in with a hat trick for Times, while Jason Phillips, Sean Lavin, and Shawn Arthurs clicked for single counters. Martin Kraftscik collected both tallies for Police. Parry Sound nipped Orangeville 3-2 for the Bantam Consolation trophy. Parry Sound scored five in a row in defeating Orillia 5-3 in the Atom Consolation. Midland Bike Shop rode rough shod over Midland Bourgeois Cougars 8-2. Cory Bath recorded four markers, while Ryan Smith picked up a pair. Chad Thayer and Richard Quesnelle rounded out the scoring for Bike Shop. Kevin Borsa and Bradley Dorion replied for Bourgeois. Elmvale O'Neils Auto Center defeated Midland Jory's IDA 5-1. Jeff Hopkins was the big gun in the contest as he notched a hat trick for Elmvale. Shane Weiss and Jason Toner completed the scoring. Doug Reed scored the lone Jory's goal. In the Mini Tyke final, Alliston blanked Midland Stoneleigh/Meatland 4-0. In the other mini tyke final, Midland Ber- tram's Fuels/Jory's IDA shutout Elmvale 2-0. Michael Larmand and Mitchell McClung supplied the fire power for the victors. Stayner slammed the door on Elmvale Tri Stars by a 7-0 count in the Tyke Championship. In the Novice final, Midland Mr. Sub scored a pair in the first 70 seconds and never Monteit In Novice tournament action Thursday, Penetang Atlas Block dumped Midland Bourgeois Cougars 4-1. Goal scorers for Penetang were Shane Dupuis with a hat trick and Chris Ealey. Paul Howe collected a trio of assists. Aaron Dorion replied for Bourgeois. Aaron Dorion paced the attack with a hat trick, while Brendan MacKell and Bradley Dorion chipped in with singles. Penetang's only tal- ly came from Chris Ackerman. Midland's Mr. Sub took the measure of Penetang Atlas Block 3-1. Chris White struck for a pair for Mr. Sub, while Shawn McGuire had a single offering. Michael Brooks replied foir Penetang. Midland Bike Shop scored a total of 15 goals in their first two games winning one and losing the other. This game was no dif- ferent as they rolled to an 8-3 victory. Cory Bath led the way with four goals, while Chad Thayer connected for a pair. Jeff Langley and Danze Monteith rounded out the scoring. Pei.etang Rustic Furniture earned a spot in the championship final with an 8-0 win over Penetang Hindson Marine. Paul Beauchamp was the big gun for the winners with a four goal game. Serge Moreau tallied twice, while Marc Charlebois and David Lacroix fired singletons. Bourgeois Cougars made it two wins ina row with an 8-0 blanking of Elmvale. Benny Garroway fired a hat trick, while Aaron Dorion checked in with a pair. Bradley Dorion, Tyler Zelisney, and Kevin Borsa com- pleted the scoring.
