Centre keeps busy Canada Employment Centre (CEC) for Students Supervisor, Tammy Smith, announced the statistical performance of the Midland CEC for the period of February to April 24. During this time there were 59 placements, 26 regular and 33 casual. In total, 134 vacancies were notified, 100 regular and 34 casual. To date, 38 career- related positions have been notified as a result of the Summer Employment Ex- perience Development program. Students registration was 580, including 132 Post Secondary and 448 Secondary students registering for summer employment. The CEC is also pleased to announce the hiring of the 1987 Student Place- ment officers. We welcome back Lindsay Martin and Kathy lesperance from last year's staff and welcome Allison Moore and Brad Beveridge as new members of our team. We encourage students to come in to register and meet the staff. Office hours are 8:15 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
