The event was originally scheduled for Thursday, MSS winners In the Midget Boys Divi- sion of the CKMP Track and Field Meet, Brent D'Aoust finished first in the hurdles event with a time of 17:05 seconds ahead of R. Clair of Elmvale District High School (17:88). Jon Poole of MSS record- ed a first place time of 2:22:28 in the 800 m. with PSS' Ian Charlebois five seconds behind in second. John Richardson of MSS leaped 5.82m. in the long jump event, while Claude Robillard of PSS following with an effort of 5.29m. In the shot put, St. Theresa's David Forrest recorded a distance of 12.73m with Jeremy Paulin of PSS a half metre shorter. Claude Robillard of PSS finished first in the triple jump with a distance of 10.57 metres. David For- rest placed second with 10.25m. J.C. Dubeau of PSS threw the discuss 28.75 m. to edge out teammate Luke Gignac by 0.35 m. St. Theresa's captured the 4x100 relay with a time of 51:48. ESPSS placed se- cond in 53.99. Gary Brookes of PSS tossed the javelin 36.15 metres. Sean Hook of St. T came second with an effort of 35.57 m. In the pole vault event, Jon Poole finished on top with a mark of 2.70 metres, followed by Terri Lorette (2.55). In the midget boys 1500m K. Laroux of PSS ran in a time of 4:49:64 ahead of Jon Poole of MSS (4:57:05). John Richardson ran the 200m in 24.21, well ahead of Sean Lorne of PSS with 27 even. Mara Dezotti of MSS won the midget girls hurdles in 16:25 seconds ahead of St. T's Tanya Anderson (16:50). MSS finished 1-2 in the discus event with Denise Greenwood's 19.74m. throw and Sharon Graham's 18.29. Heather McGregor won the 800m. for St. T in 2:50; 725 Tammy McFarlane came second for MSS with 2:59:55. Tanya Anderson col- lected. a first in the 100m with a time of 14.16 ahead of Jenny Young of MSS who posted a time of 14.41. MSS' Jennifer Balabuck tossed the javelin 22:26m with Lory Quesnelle of PSS coming in second with 15.67m. Jenny Scott of EDHS col- lected a first place ribbon in the long jump (3.85), with Janet Lewis of MSS trailing (3.75m). Heather McGregor pick- ed up her second first place finish by winning the 1500m in a time of 5:49:34, well in front of Shelly Brandon of MSS (6:13:11). Tracy Dollimount (1:09:29) and Chris Bobell (1:17:07) of MSS finished 1-2 in the 400m. Elmvale's Amy Veenstra registered 8.18m in putting the shot with Sharon Graham of MSS behind her at 7.80 tied with Denise Greenwood. Robin Merkley ran the 200m in 31:68 with Kim Pady of MSS coming in se- cond, a half second behind. MSS won the 4x100 relay in a time of 59:62. PSS trailed with 1:07:64. Tammy Maheu (15.31 seconds) and Christel Meisinger (16.56) of PSS finished first and second in the Junior Girls hurdles. St. Theresa's Chrissy Blackwell ran the 800 in a time of 2:50:94 to take first place ahead of Shani McArthur of MSS (2:54:98). Jennifer Currie of MSS won the Javelin event with a throw of 29:85 m., well ahead of Shauna Sickinger of PSS (19:30m). Carrie Ann Moyer and Lisa Desroches of PSS led the field in the 100m. cont'd on pg. 25 but strong winds and cold temperatures forced postponement to Friday.
