Christel Meisinger of PSS took the long jump with a measurement of 4.10m, while Elmvale's Tara Jaegar placed second with 3.92m. Shani McArthur and Janet Lewis of MSS com- bined for a 1-2 finish in the 1500m. McArthur's time was 6:21:35, considerably quicker than Lewis' 70032: Sara Jaegar registered a good time in the 400m with 1:16:63. Helen Georgas of MSS nipped Penetang's Christel Meisinger at the wire in the 200m. Georgas was clocked at 31.81, 0.05 seconds ahead of Meisinger. Shawn Wagnar com- pleted the 1500m in 4:40:28, a 14.44 second lead over Randy Baker. J.J. Sturgeon of EDHS ran a strong 200m and finished first in a time of 24.54. Gord Hook of Penetang came second with 25.04. Keith Caston of MSS hit 1.82m in the high jump to out distance the field. Mike Player (MSS), Don Pilon (PSS), Frank Dusome (PSS) and J.J. Sturgeon (EDHS) all recorded 1.72m. Caston took another first in the discuss with a toss of 35.41m. Rob Lee of MSS wasn't close with 27.96. Caston took the shot put with 13.45m, just ahead of Don Monteith (13.27m). Mike Player of MSS recorded 5.61m in the long jump beating JJ Sturgeon of Elmvale by 0.14m. Player also took the triple jump with a mark of 11.80 beating out teammate John Gibson (10.63m). Rob Lee reached 2.70 metres in the pole vault, 0.25m higher than PSS' Brian Robillard. Senior Girls High Jump was won by' Ruby Degenaar of ESPSS with a jump of 1.42m. Sheri Swan of Elmvale placed second, reaching a height of 1.32m. Karen Graham of MSS topped the senior girls 100m in a time of 14.87 seconds, beating Sheri Swan of EDHS (15.59). Penetang's Ruby Degenaar tossed the discuss 28.11 metres to beat Midland's Graham (25.87). Monique Armstrong captured the 400m in 1:14:97, while Sheri Swan won the 200m in 33 seconds. Charlene Myers won the long jump with a leap of 3.86m. Teammate Moni- que Armstrong registered 3.60m for second place. MSS took the 4x100 relay with a time of 1:00:66. MSS dominated the Senior Boys by taking a majority of the first place finishes. The shot put event was an exception as PSS took the first two spots. Peter Dion put the shot 12.50 metres to edge Kevin Beausoleil (12.20). Jeff Bell ran the hurdles in 18.88 seconds for MSS, while teammate Andrew Burgher blazed around the track in 2:18:05 in the 800m to defeat his own teammate Jeff Douglas (2:28:10). Five time winner, Ed Richardson captured the 100m with a time of 11:49. St. T's Gig Leader record- ed 11.94 for second. Richardson and David Cadieux of St. T tied at 1.75m in the high jump. Alex Therrien also of St. T was right behind at 1.72m Burgher picked up another first as he strode over the finish line in 54:54 in the 400m., while Jeff Douglas took the first place ribbon in the 1500m in 4:55:00. Steve Gignac of PSS was two seconds behind. Andrew Burgher out- distanced the field in the 200m with a time of 24.50. Jeff Bell was second in 25.45. The foursome of John Richardson, Andrew Burgher, Jeff Bell and Ed Richardson won the senior boys 4x100m with a time of 46.81. PSS ran second in 1:06:87. Kevin Beausoleil of PSS tossed the discuss 27.52 metres with Jeff Bell of MSS trailing with 26.43m. Brad Price soared 2.55m. in the pole vault to capture that event over Kevin Beausoleil of Penetang. In the last event: of the day, the MSS relay team of Mike Larmand, Steve In- gram, Jon Poole and An- drew Burgher, won the 4x100 over PSS.
