The women's intermediate champion was Ruby Degenaar who played strong all tourna- ment, defeating Vicky Tioo 15-9,15-7. This year's men intermediate champion was Karl Schmid who, ina marathon match, escaped Dave Durtnall 15-13, 12-15, 11-8 while the mens 'C' champion (representing the YMCA) Frank Godfrey 'ceiling balled' a win over Wayne Holden 15-13, 15-13. This year's event also in- cluded consolation events that proved exceptionally competitive and con- gratulations to Paul Stoutenberg and Honore White for their respective wins.
