Over 100 local Liberals gathered at the Midland legion to hear Frith speak about the accord (a major constitutional change which makes concessions to Quebec) at the Simcoe North Liberal meeting last Tuesday. Frith also spoke about the way some federal Liberals had reacted to the accord. And also at the meeting, a new executive was elected for the Simcoe North Liberals, including Alan Martin, the new president. Frith said the Meech Lake document should be studied carefully before it's carved in stone. The money is part of an estimated $75,000 grant as a provincial contribution towards the estimated $100,000 total cost of the project.
