ROTARY FISH HUNT 32 DAYS OF FISHING FUN FOR $60,000 IN GREAT PRIZES, INCLUDING $6,000 IN CASH PRIZES The following rules and regulations apply to the Budweiser-Penetanguishene Rotary Fish Hunt July ist, 1987 to August 1st, 1987. Registrations must be purchased no later than July 4th, 1987 The Fish Hunt will run from July 1st, 1987 to August 1st, 1987. The last weigh- in will conclude at 8 p.m. on August 1st, 1987 and all fish entered must be caught by legal means with conventional hook and line. Total prize money of $6,000 will be awarded at the windup dance following the final weign-in August 1st. First and second prizes will be awarded for smallmouth bass, pike and perch. The first prize for the largest bass will be $1,500, with $750 going to the fisherman with the second largest fish in this category. First prize for the largest pike is $1,500, and $750 will go to the fisherman with the second largest pike caught legally by a registrant during the fish hunt. First prize for the largest perch will be $1,000, with $500 going to the fisherman registering second largest perch caught legally by a registrant during the hunt. . Presentation of all major awards will be at the curling rink, Penetanguishene, on August 1st, 1987 from all of the registrants, who must be present and will have 5 minutes to claim prizes. One of the six cash prize winners, chosen by elimination, will become eligible to enter the Labatt's National Fish Hunt Elimina- tion Draw being held in Owen Sound the weekend of October 17, 1987. One representative will be chosen from each of the Labatt's National Fish Hunt events to participate in the elimination draw. To be eligible, registrants for this draw must be 19 or éver. The first prize in this draw is a 1988 Chevy Cheyenne pick-up truck with a 4.3-litre V6 engine; an Atra SP175 Springbok Princecraft sport fishing boat; a 70 hp OMC outboard motor; and an EZ-Loader trailer. The retail value of this package is $30,344. The names of all registrants aged 19 or over in the Labatt's Fishing Series events will be entered for the following draw prizes: 1) A Springbok SP 145 fishing boat with 9.9 hp OMC outboard and a 17-foot EZ-Loader trailer. Retail value: $5,850. 2) An Auber Wedge Hills 4-day salmon fishing trip for two to Shefferville, Quebec. Each participant is guaranteed two caribou. Retail value: $5,300. 3) A Walker Exhaust fly-in fishing trip to Spyder Lake, Wisconsin, U.S.A., as well as transportation by air from the international airport closest to the par- ticipant's home. Retail value: $1,500 plus air. . All entrants, who enter a fish that day, are eligible for a daily draw prize of ap- proximately $100 retail value. Daily winners of the largest fish in each day's category and the previous two days (regardless of category) will receive a Berkley rod and reel set (retail value ($140). It is important to register all large fish. Entries are on an individual basis and must be purchased at a cost of $15 per person (Canadian Funds) or $25 per family (children up to 18 years). Registra- tions must be purchased no later than July 4th, 1987 for participation in the 5th annual Budweiser-Penetanguishene Rotary Fish Hunt. Penetanguishene Rotarians and their immediate families are not eligible to enter or participate in the fish hunt. . Weigh-ins will be daily between 12 noon and 1 p.m. and between 7 and 9 p.m. at the Town Dock, Penetanguishene. Weignh-in on the last day of the fish hunt, August 1st, 1987 will be from 12 noon to 1 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. An addi- tional four (4) ounces will be added to the weight of any pike or bass which is designated as live released by a person aut':orized by the organizing commit- tee. Such fish must remain active in a holdiag tank at the weigh-in station for 10 minutes. . Boundaries: The waters of Georgian Bay. . Water Safety Rules: All participants must obey the fishing laws and regulations of Canada and the Province of Ontario, practicing normal navigational rules and etiquette. . Fishing licences: All participants must have valid Ontario fishing licences. . Investigation: Persons designated by the organizing committee shall have the right to inspect any fish submitted for weighing at the weigh-in station. Any fish found to contain any foreign object may be disqualified at the discretion of the designated person. Photographs may be taken for or by the Rotary Club of Penetanguishene or Labatt's Breweries, of any fish entered in the fish hunt, and participants waive any exclusive publication rights to these photographs. Liability: In submitting an entry form for the Budweiser-Penetanguishene Rotary Fish Hunt, each applicant and family member acknowledges that the Rotary Club, Labatt's Breweries and the Town of Penetanguishene are not responsible for any injury, loss or damage, however caused, resulting from participation in the fish hunt. Judging: Decision of judges and the organizing committee are final and not sub- ject to appeal.
