In the inning, it was again Tim Mason and Troy Caley who got on base with solid hitting only to be driven home by brother Ryan Caley. This time, however, Ryan was able to score himself after Keith 'Bear' Duval hit a solid shot to right field. It looked as Bear was going to. be stranded at third, but a wild pitch enabled him to cross the. plate tiving Midland its seventh run of the game. Not to be out- done, Orillia rallied for five runs of their own in the bottom of the fourth inning and re-captured the lead by a 9-7 count. In the top of the fifth in- ning once again it was Midland's Keith Lapensee and Billy Leonard who scored runs to knot the game at 9-9. Lapensee scored after Leonard hit a single to left centre and then scored himself when thruway mufflercentre Troy Caley drove a shot straight up the middle. Orillia looked as if they were going to decide this contest in the bottom of the fifth when they scored four runs and took a 13-9 lead and were looking for more, but they were unable to solve reliever Brian Duval's throwing prowess as he case in for Caley and held them scoreless with the bases loaded. From this point on in the game, Midland Legion were sparked by Duval's big ef- fort and just when things looked like they were over for the local team, they found new life. Although only one run was scored by Midland in the top of the sixth, the momentum of the game began to swing in Midland's favour. In the in- ning, it was Keith Lapensee who scored to make it a 13-10 game while one runner was left strand- ed at second base.
