Lloyd Gowland lived The late Mr. Lloyd Gowland of 686 Ottawa Street, Midland died July 13, 1987 at the Huronia District Hospital, Midland following a lengthy illness at the age of 68 years. Florida The late Mrs. Florida Ladouceur of 148 Robert St. West, Penetanguishene died at the Pene- tanguishene General Hospital on June 22, 1987 following a lengthy illness at the age of 46 years. Mr. Gowland was born in Markham, Ontario and had lived most of his life in Penetanguishene. He had been a resident of Midland for the last 21 years. Mr. Gowland was a retired marine engineer and a former long-time emplopyee of the Gulf Oil Company. He was a veteran of World War 11, having served with the Royal Canadian Navy. Funeral Service was held at the Martin Funeral Home, Penetanguishene on July 16, 1987 with Rev. H. Markle as the officiating clergy. Interment followed at St. James-on-the-lines Cemetary, Penetanguishene. Pall Bearers were Bill and Doug Crawley, Mark Hamelin, Dave Desroches, Joe Denis and Mike Barach. Ladouceur of Penetang Mrs. Ladouceur was a life-long resident of the Penetanguishene area and a former employee of both Decor Products 'and T.R.W. for over 20 years. Mr. Charlebois, who was single, was born in Lafon- taine and had lived in the beach area of the 17th con- cession all of his life. He owned and _ operated Albert's Cove Marina and had been a commercial fisherman nearly all of his working years until he retired in 1984. Funeral Mass was held at Ste-Croix Church, Lafon- taine on July 17, 1987 with Rev. L. Sullivan as the celebrant of the funeral mass. Interment followed at Ste-Croix Cemetery, Lafontaine. Pall Bearers were Marc Robitaille, Alan St. Amant, Victor Moreau, Charles Secord, Eric Lamoureux and Ligouri Laurin. Carson Robert Keeler, ex-Reeve Carson Robert Keeler, who was Reeve of Victoria Harbour from 1964 to 1974, passed away July 6, 1987. Mr. Keeler last lived at the Georgian Manor in Penetanguishene, and he died at the age of 72 after a lengthy illness. He was born in Oshawa, Ontario to Mossie Shucklaton and _ Leo Wesley Keeler. After marrying Iona Helena Belfry (who has already passed away) in Toronto, the couple lived in Victoria Harbour. Mr. Keeler was a bus driver for PMCL for 10 years. His wife was a pat- tern maker at Otaco Limited in Orillia. Mr. Keeler tad been retired for 10 years. He had been active in St. Paul's Presbyterian Church in Victoria Harbour as well as the Masonic Lodge 470 of Victoria Harbour. Carson Robert Keeler is survived by his son Gary Carson Keeler of Orillia, Martin King of Penetang The late Mr. Martin King of 190 Sheridan Street, Penetanguishene died July 2, 1987 at the Toronto General Hospital following a lengthy illness at the age James Edward Dickie Retired carpenter James Edward Dickie passed away July 8 in Toronto after a long illness. The Bluewater Beach man was 78 years old. Mr. Dickie was born in Elmvale to parents John and Eva Dickie. He attended Allenwood Public School. He married Rita Edith Large on Dec. 4, 1937 at Schomberg Presbyterian Church, then lived in Toronto. Mr. Dickie is survived by wife Rita Edith, sons Ronald and James, daughter Gloria, brother Gordon, sisters Thelma and Florence, six grand- children and two great-grandchildren. He is pre-deceased by members of his immediate family Bill, Harold, Olive, Eva, Alice and Lottie. The funeral was held Ju- ly 11, 1987 at Nicholls Funeral Home and was conducted by Reverend Charles Carter. He was cremated. The ashes were buried. Ronald Leonard Harwood Ronald Leonard Har- wood of 90 Fourth St. in Midland passed away July 11. He was 63. Mr. Harwood was born in Hants, England to Ar- chibald Redvers Buller Harwood and Hilda Ethel _ Lewington Harwood. He achieved his high school education in Fleet, England. He married Irene on Oct. 5, 1946 at St. Peter's Church of England, in Kent England. During the Second World War, he served in the British Royal Navy - Special Tels. He received Page 18, Tuesday, July 21, the 1939 to 45 Star, the Atlantic Star, the Africa Star, the France and Ger- many Star and the War Medal 1939 to 45. The couple emigrated to Canada in 1964. He is survived by wife Irene D. Harwood, sons Graham Earl Harwood of Tottenham and Richard Charles Harwood of Brampton, as well as four grandchildren. He is predeceased by Hilda (Bunty) Hughes. The funeral was held Ju- ly 14 at Nicholls Funeral Home in Midland with Rev. Charles Carter. 1987 of 49 years. Mr. King was a life-long resident of Pene- tanguishene and a former employee of Ogilvie Mills Ltd. for over 25 years before ill health forced his retirement. Funeral Mass was held at St. Ann's Memorial Church, Penetanguishene on July 4, with Rev. M. Du- mont as the celebrant of the funeral mass. Inter- ment followed at St. Ann's Cemetery, Penetanguishene. Pall Bears were nephews: Michael, Terry, Tom and Rick King, Dan- ny Switzer and David Desroches. . Survived by three grandchildren. Pre-deceased by his mother Mrs. Alma (Quesnelle) King and his brother Remi King. his daughter Mrs. Bonnie Gail Keeler (Eplett) of Midland, his brothers Doug, Wesley and Ronald of Oshawa and Russell of Port Perry and his sisters Marie Kurschinski, Fern Little and Peggy Samuelson (all of Toronto) and Violet Coole of Bowmanville. Mr. Keeler is also surviv- ed by five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The funeral was held Ju- ly 9 at Nicholls Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Carter. Mr. Keeler was buried at the Victoria Har- bour Union Cemetery. Pallbearers were Walter Lumsden, Roy Copeland, Len Risley, Roger St. Amant and Gerry Heal.
