The Association reports they were quite pleased with the turnout as 45 out of 54 ex- ecutives attended. Most leagues will be star- ting up the second week of September. Dennis Brabant, Associa- tion President and pro- prietor of Bayshore Lanes in Midland, along with J.P. Desroches, owner of Night Haven Lanes in Pene- tanguishene, spoke on how each president, secretary and treasurer should organize their league. Examples were offered such as proper set up, good rules, having good interest in their league's financial situation, fund raising, well organized secretary, organizing banquet night, monthly treasurer's report, Seniors Wyebridge Murray Fagan Roofing Warriors took a 2-1 lead in their best of five Simcoe Rural Fastball League playoff series Sunday afternoon. Mike Gadsby, Wyebridge second baseman, was a one man demolition team as he drove in five runs in the 9-3 win over Vasey Seniors. After a pair of scoreless innings, third baseman, Dave Genier led off the Wyebridge third with a free pass and advanced on Steve Courtemanche's one out single. Both runners scored when Mike Gadsby delivered a three bagger. Gadsby crossed the plate on Kent Goldsmith's sacrifice fly to right field. Bob Dutton led off the fourth with a walk and went to second on Paul Rowe's one out walk. Dennis introduced the Five Pin Bowling Associa- tion Executive and explain- ed their duties for the year. Dennis also dicussed the Ontario Five Pin bowling tournaments; High-Low Doubles, League Executive Tournament, 210 and Under, Classified, and Team Championship. The Association is con- sidering creating a hall of fame for both bowling centers. They would also like to have record scores that were bowled in Midland and Penetangui- shene over the last 40 years in league play or in tour- naments: i.e. high single games (men over 400, women over 375), high triples, men over 950, women over 900), high five games (men over 1,500, women over 1,300), high averages (men over 240, toppled stroked back to back singles scoring Dutton and Rowe. After Courteman- che fanned, Gadsby strok- ed a single plating Genier to increase the Warrior lead to 6-0. Back to back singles in the Vasey fifth off the bats of Keith Ball and Rob | McLean preceded Brent -- McLean's three run homer. Although that was all the offence Vasey could muster on this day, Wyebridge wasn't finished, and neither was Mr. Gadsby. Paul Rowe opened the sixth for Wyebridge with the fifth walk issued by Brent McLean and went to second on Genier's second consecutive base hit. Two outs later, Gadsby singled again driving in a pair of tallies and scored himself after a pair of passed balls. G BEAUTY from NUMENTS Ltd.
