Weekend shutouts in touch football E&R Discount Outlaws blanked the Little Lake Ser- vice Centre Hawks 16 - 0. Quarterback Mike Hamelin produced a great aerial attack. Joe Beausoleil and Pete Robiuard con- tributed majors scores and quarterback Mike Hamelin added points. Also picking up a two points conversion was Andrew Buttineau for the Outlaws. Hawks quarterback, Peter Maracle, couldn't stir up anything to get his team on the board. The Redskins walked past the Brooklea Eagles 14 - 1. Redskins quarterback Andy Wickstead hit receivers Jim Costello and Ray Brien for majors as Glen Bannon hauled in a two points conversion. Eagles punter, John Pickett, chalked up his team's only point of the game but their defence held the Skins to a low score. Huronia Optical Illu- sions squeeked past the Dial-A-Movie Destroyers 14 - 12. This was a great defensive battle as both teams kept each other at respectable scores. six Setting This is a scene from one of the super tournament volleyball games held during a weekend Penetanguishene Secondary School. Quarterback John Lar- mand found teamates Brian Ackerman open to gain six points as Mor- rispauzé snagged a touchdown pass for six points as well as a two points conversion for the Illusions. Destroyers quarterback Ron Tucker found receivers Mike Howell and Roy Freer open enough to pick up their major scores. Tom's Auto Body Flyers whitewashed the Dial-A- Movie strikers 18 - 0. The Tandem of Doug Edwards and Glen Smith as quarter- backs gave the Flyers the versatility they needed. Ed- wards hit John Koppenal for six points as well as An- dy Zurawski. His arm was awesome as receivers Kop- penal, Zurawski and Smith were kept busy all game. In the second half "Smitty" changed roles as quarter- back and did equal job to Edwards, especially scrambling as he ran in a 25 yard touchdgwn for six points. The score sounds high but Strikers quarter- back Randy Buttineau, also played an excellent game as pivot but his receivers could not dominate on any drives to score. The Guzzlers started G. Wilicers by a score of 16 - 2. Quarterback Bob Pymenty played well at the pivot position making several nice tosses. Bill White snaggled a six pointer and also played a great defensive game with several sacks and batted away several balls from his offenents. Bob Haats haul- ed in a 6 point major as well as a 2 point conver- sion to help lead the Guzzlers to their victory. Quarterback Bob Dyment was also awarded 2 points for a safty touch as the ball was dead in the end zone. Another player that helped in this victory was receiver, Cliff Forget, who gained some big yardage for the Guzzlers. G.Wilicers quarterback Darryl Beam had problems as nobody could hang on to ring up any majors. Dwayne Hill did manage to score two singles on punts in the end zone. Defrnsive rushers Paul Hamelin and Tom Zumne kept Guzzlers quarterback honest as they sacked him at Ecole Secondaire Recreation policy focus of County conference The County of Simcoe Recreation and Special Services Department, in co-operation with the Ministry of Tourism and Recreation is sponsoring a Fall Conference entitled, "Community Recreation Training Program and the New Provincial Recreation Policy Impact." OPSEU held the Renegades until late in the game when back up quarterback Ernie Desroches found receiver Rick Lavigne open for six more points complete the Renegade drive. Desroches also played. some grest defense to keep OPSEU off the board. OPSEU players Doug Waugh both shone for OPSEU'S defense as they held them in their end for several possessions.
