Monsignor Castex was right behind with Huron Park finishing third, Sacred Heart fourth and Vic- toria Harbour fifth. : Huron Park won both the Junior Boys and Girls divisions with Victoria Harbour com- ing in second in the girls and St. Joseph third, Monsignor Castex placed second in the boys division with St. Joseph collecting another third. In the Intermediate classification, Saint Joseph, Monsignor Castex and Ste. Anne's took the top three spots. Sacred Heart, Monsignor Castex and St. quarterback Bob Hirst, hauling in a 40 yard pass and running 35 yards into the end zone picking up the only score for OPSEU. Doug Waugh also was a standout for the Ter- minators making some nice offensive catches and knocking several away on defence. The big gun for the Illusions was Jim Fraser who picked up a touchdown and a two point conversion. Bruce Sibbald and Lorna Mar- cilla scored the other TD's for Illusions. Kyla Rollinson recorded the best time of 61 intermediate girls runners in 10:09. A St. Joe's Teammate, Lee Ann Fawcett was seven seconds behind. Sacred Heart's Karen Radecki (10:26) finished third. In Intermediate Boys, Mike Gatehouse of Victoria Harbour was clocked at 9:36, one se- cond ahead of John Bednar of Saint Joseph. Ste. Anne's Jeremy Cruise breezed to a third place finish in 9:41. Nicole Pyman of Monsignor Castex topped the 50 runner senior girls division with a time of 11:39. Marilyn Radecki of Sacred Heart finished four seconds behind, while Colleen Shepherd's 11:45 of Port McNicoll was good enough for third place. Robert Moreau of Ste. Mary's picked up a first place with 9:51, two seconds in front of Sacred Heart's Shawn Arthurs. Tony Brinovich of Bayview recorded a 9:58 for third. Mick B's Renegades were swamped 26-1 at the hands of the Redskins. Ernie Desroches displayed some excellent running skills at pivot for the Renegades, but only sacrificed a single point on a punt which ended up in the end zone. They had plenty of oppor- tunities for major scores but couldn't dominate on possession. Glen Bannon enjoyed a big day for the 'Skins hauling in a pair of touchdowns and a two point conversion. Jeff Atwood and Ray Brien accounted for the other majors. Richard Thomas and Dave Mink displayed razzle dazzle footwork going both ways for the Redskins. » Dial-a-Movie Destroyers edged the Guzzlers 7-6 in a very tightly played contest. Quarterback, Ron Tucker, hit Greg Laton- dress with a nice pass for the Destroyers on- ly major. Tucker counted on a punt into the end zone for a single point. Brian Hook and Sean Fraser both enjoyed an excellent game for the Destroyers. Guzzleers quarterback, Bob Dyment, played an excellent game at pivot as he toss- ed to Cliff Forget for their only major. Forget racked up a lot of real estate for good field position. E and R Discount Outlaws kept their unbeaten record intack with a 34-0 whitewashing of G. Willicers Tavern. Mike Hamelin threw a pair of touchdown passes to Moe Robitaille and one each to Kent Goldsmith and Joe Beasley. Hamelin romped for a major himself. Peter Robillard and Brian St. Amant rounded out the scoring with two point conversions. In the closest contest of the season, Tom's Auto Body Flyers squeaked past Brooklea Eagles 1-0. Doug Edwards accounted for the only point with a punt into the end zone. The win leaves the Flyers in second place with only one loss in seven games, while the Eagles were looking for their second win. Little Lake Service Center Hawks stunned the Dial-a-Movie Strikers 30-0. Quarterback Trent Maracle hit Keith Maracle for two touchdown passes, while Kirk Ure and Kevin Loughrin each counted one. Pierre Genier, Peter Stevens and Rick Dorion collected two points each. The final games of the regular season will be played next Saturday. All games will be at PSS with Mick B's taking on the Guzzlers at 9 a.m., while the Redskins face the Destroyers at 10:15 a.m. At 11:30 a.m. Hawks will do battle with Illusions and the Eagles and Outlaws go at it at 12:45 p.m. while Tom's Auto Body takes on G. Willicers at 2 p.m. Strikers and OPSEU wrap up the day's proceedings at 3:15 p.m. both looking for their first victory of the season. After the final match there will be a short meeting to explain the playoff set up which will begin October 18 at PSS and MSS begin- ning at noon.
