Open carpet bowling clinic Members of the Allan- dale Seniors Carpet Bowl- ing Club invite anyone in- terested in learning about Carpet Bowling to come out for a demonstration and practical session. It will be held on Wednesday, October 28 from 10am to 3pm at the Allandale Rec. Centre in Barrie and there is no registration fee. At Port MeNicoll, St. Mary's lost to Port 1-0, while Waubaushene defeated Victoria Harbour by the same_ score. Waubaushene then handed St. Mary's another loss by defeating them 3-0. Vic- toria Harbour eliminated Port McNicoll 2-0 and then faced Waubaushene for the right to advance to Satur- day's finals. After regula- tion time, the score was tied at 3-3. In the first shoot-out, each team scored twice. It all came down to a final shootout which was won _ by Waubaushene 2-1. At PSS, James Keating (formerly Corpus Christi), nipped Ste. Annes's 1-0, while St. Joseph's walked over Regent 4-0. St. Joe's continued their winning ways with a 2-0 win over Ste. Anne's, while Regent blanked James Keating 1-0. St. Joe's earned a berth in the finals with a 2-0 win over Regent. At MSS, Parkview squeaked by Sacred Heart 1-0 in the opening contest and Monsignor Castex blew past Huron Park 3-0. Sacred Heart then turned the tide on Monsignor Castex and handed them a 2-0 defeat. Parkview ran roughshod over Huron Park 7-0 to set up a replay of the first game with Sacred Heart. The result of the game was the same, with Parkview defeating Sacred Heart 1-0. In the Girls Division Thursday, Sacred Heart blanked Parkview 2-0 in the first game at MSS. Monsignor Castex got by Huron Park 1-0, bit drop- ped a 1-0 me to Parkview. Sacred Heart' then registered a pair of back to back 1-0 triumphs over Huron Park and Parkview to advance to the finals on Saturday. At Penetanguishene Secondary School, Ste. Anne's edged James Keating 1-0, while Regent topped St. Joseph's by the same count. Regent hung a 4-0 defeat on the shoulders of James Keating. Ste. Anne's stopped St. Joeseph 2-1 to set up the final with Regent which Ste. Annes's won 1-0 to advance to the playoff. Regent for their ef- forts earned a wild card for the final four. In the East at Port MeNicoll, the hosts won in a shootout over Waubaushene 1-0 who turned around = and defeated Victoria Harbour by the same score. After Port disposed of Victoria Harbour, they wrapped up the divison title with a 3-0 victory over Waubaushene. In the Boys' Finals at MSS Saturday, round robin winner Parkview blasted wild card Victoria Harbour 4-0, while St. Joe's of Penetanguishene upend- ed Waubaushene 3-1 in the other semi final. In the Girls' Semis, Port McNicoll doubled the count on Regent 2-1 in dou- ble overtime, while Ste. Anne's blanked Sacred ZHeart 1-0. Port had little problem getting past Ste. Anne's 3-1 to capture the Area III Elememtary Girls Soccer Championship. The Boys' final was a touch more exciting with St. Joseph and Parkview playing to a 0-0 double overtime tie with the game being decided in a shootout.
