The Willmers owned a successful delicatessen business in Mississauga since 1971, but because of the large traffic jams and high rents decided to leave the hustle and bustle of Toronto. Mrs. Willmer says "having a relative in Midland and Owning a cottage in the area, we knew what beautiful Surroundings there were here. We both love the water, windsurfing and sailing."' The Edelweiss is a combination delicatessen and restaurant which carries a wide variety of European cold cuts, cheeses and imported goods. For parties or business luncheons cheese, relish, cold cuts and sandwich trays are made up. In the cafe light lunches and cakes - European style DNS A A Pe are served. The Edelweiss is also licensed. Some renovations to the store and building were made to create a friendly atmosphere. The staff at the Edelweiss consists of Klaus and Gudrun Willmer, Christel Schefer, and Monika Conte all giving fast and friendly service to all of their customers. For a light lunch and a smile always drop in to the Edelweiss at 255 King Street.
