This is a "AA" tournament and since Midland is a "BB"' centre, the team did much better than expected. Friday night, the Bell Boys faced off against thruwa mufflercentre Riverside. They started fast and never let up scoring the first four goals of the game. With Ryan Caley playing strong in net, solid defense and sure passing, this game was all Midland's Final score was 9-4. Marshall Lesperance and Larry Cowan each fired a brace for the victors with singles coming off the sticks of Dave Parent, Steve St. Amant, Terry Spiker and Greg St. Amant. Ron Lalonde' replied _ for Memories with a pair, while Jamie Robitaille, Peter Robillard, Richard Lefaive and Dave Miller all tallied single markers. John O'Hara's hat trick paced G. Wilicers to a 5-4 win over Huronia Optical. Frank Hall and Jim Monteith both scored once in a winning effort. Glenn South, Ken Edgar, Wayne King and Rob Quesnelle registered singles for Huronia Optical. Therrien's vaulted into third place in the standings with a 10-4 win over Com- modore Hotel. Terry King enjoyed a three goal perfor- mance in the victory while Bill Arbour recorded a pair. Single markers went to Keith St. Amant, Chris Anderson, Ken Akerman, Chris Wright and Dave Ruston. Paul Lefaive scored twice for Com- modore, while Rob Desroches and Marc Du- quette each _ netted singletons. In other PRHL news, the annual mid-season draft was held at the Penetang Arena on Sunday. In the reverse standing draft, Huronia Optical picked Daryl Belcourt in the first round.
