The teams traded a pair of first period goals and singles in the second, before Stuart Restrup netted the winner at 13:11 of the final 20 minutes. Midland took an early 1-0 lead when Glen McDermott found the mark from Mike Lar- mand at 1:41 of the first with Brent Dubeau off for hooking. Dave Davies increased the Centennial lead to 2-0 with a marker at 12:10 assisted by Chris Edwards and Joel Cousins with the Cents playing four men to three. Ted Hildebrandt broke the goose egg for the Kings with a power play marker at 15:58 from Roy Hildebrandt and Stu Restrup. With just 17 seconds remaing in the open- ing frame, Restrup fired his first of a pair in the game on a play with Roy Hildebrandt and Brent Dubeau. Roy Hildebrandt picked up his third point of the game at 12:07 of the middle period when he was set up by Mark Rankin and Restrup for a 3-2 Penetang lead with Jeanotte serving the second of a double minor for holding and unsportsmanlike. With Penetang's Brad Denis off for holding, Steve Bressette knotted the count for Midland at 14:42 from Dave Davies and Chris Edwards. Restrup slid the puck through Blaine Dusome's pads at 13:11 of the third frame for the game winner. Midland outshot their guests in the first Get set... Oro 77's will be in town for a date with the Kings. Half of the net proceeds will be donated to Penetanguishene Minor Hockey... January 9-10 will be the S. Charlebois Kings Rockathon. A total of 20 players will be rock- ing in a rocking chair for two hours each in exchange for pledges from local businesses and individuals for 40 straight hours. At the end of the Rockathon, one of the sponsors names will be drawn for the chair from Marcelville which is valued at approximate- ly $200. The Rockathon will begin at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, January 9, 1988, im- mediately following the Kings-Huntsville clash. Dave Lefaive replied with a pair for Therrien's while single markers came off the sticks of Ken Akerman and Chris Wright. Hindson Marine outscored Commodore Hotel 8-1 behind Terry Spiker's three goal performance. Paul Robillard added a pair while singletons went to Tim Dion, Brad Coghill and Larry Cowan. Dave Gianetto registered the single tally for Commodore. G. Wilicers maintained first place with a 7-2 win over Memories Devils. Frank Hall netted a pair for the winners while single goals came off the sticks of Jeff Leclair, Jim Beale, Dave Robillard, Bill Mundy and John O'Hara. Roy Fergison and Ron Lalonde replied for Memories. After 13 contests, G. Wilicers sits alone in first place with 17 points on seven wins, three loses and three ties. Hindson Marine are a point back in second place with a record of 7-4-2. Therrien's Furniture (6-6-1-13 points), Memories Devils (5-7-1-11 points ), Com- modore Hotel (5-7-1-11 points) and Huronia Optical (4-7-2-10 points) are bunched together keeping the race close. Terry Spiker of Hindson Marine leads the goal scoring department with 21 and total points with 38. Huronia Optical's Ken Edgar is in second spot with 17 goals and 16 helpers for 33 points.
