The Bantams received stellar goaltending from Jason LeClair for the first two periods and from Jeff Webber in the final frame. Chris Bales netted Midland's first goal with 3:05 left in the first period on a pass from Jim McLaren. Trevor Irvine made it 2-0 on a hard slap- shot with only 29 seconds remaining in the first period with Craig Demp- sey earning an assist. At the 14:25 mark of the se- cond, Dempsey scored on a set up by Trevor Irvine. Chris Kinnear made it 4-0 at the 7:05 mark with Chris Bales earning the assist. Trevor Irvine scored at the 4:45 mark with Darren Kaus and Jim McLaren ear- ning assists. Irving com- pleted his hat trick with a goal at the 13:12 mark of third period with Doug Summers earning the assist. The game was a solid team effort by all the Midland players as they outstaked Parry Sound and checked the opposition relentlessly, Midland received ten minor penalties and Parry Sound was assessed eleven minors. Ski Wye Marsh offers a great price for a day's outing: $4 for adults, $2 for children, and $10 for a family pass, with special rates for groups and for members of the Friends of Wye Marsh.
