Past Midland industrial com- missioner Matt Parry said that a CN Rail employee was the source of his information. 'We're staying,' says CN CN Rail is not shutting its Midland track. MP Doug Lewis has pro- vided the town counci! with a letter to him from Minister of Transport John Crosbie in which Crosbie states: 'CN officials have informed me that there are currently no plans to discontinue rail freight ser- vice to Midland." Former Chamber of Commerce manager Mat- thew Parry in a letter to the town council raised the possibility of CN shutting down earlier this year. Parry in his letter said he had his information from an inside source at CN. The Midland line is a "light density line,' by CN's definition. All of CN's light density lines are Crosbie said in his letter.
